Query:
Is there
a link between breathing practice and release of Kundalini Energy?
Vijay Kumar:
I
shall broadly discuss your queries on breathing practice, Kundalini Energy, and
Yoga.
The ultimate
Yoga... the Raja Yoga... the process of pranayama... all are directed towards
one and only goal... trying to reach the inner
self through the process of breathing! By practicing the right form
of breathing one is able to gain composure in life. This leads to mental and physical
stability. Other than trying to reach your inner self... the right breathing process
fine tunes our thinking ability which is the governor of all things mental.
Be it sex or otherwise... pranayama is highly recommended for each and every individual
living on Mother Earth. Truly speaking those who indulge in pranayama seriously
would avoid excessive indulgence in sex. For it is pranayama... the highest form
of Yoga which leads one towards pure spirituality. and in the field of pure spirituality
there is no space for sexual inhibitions.
A
pointed answer to your query is that practice of pranayama would lead to extreme
sexual satisfaction. There is no denial on that.
Performance
of pranayama is a requisite for awakening of Kundalini. For the Kundalini energy
to get released... practice of celibacy (voluntary abstinence from sex) is essential
rather must. The release of the Kundalini energy is directly related to the level
of celibacy one has achieved.
The
monthly quota of energy provided to every man and woman by Almighty God is required
to be preserved if we seriously desire to release the Kundalini energy within
us. Practice of pranayama coupled with practice of absolute celibacy results in
complete release of Kundalini energy for one to practice spirituality at its best.

No
form of Yoga or breathing leads to injuries internal or external. Excessive exercising
must never be practiced while doing yoga meditation. Even the sexual activity
must be performed in an absolutely passive manner. Neither yoga meditation nor
sexual performance asks for aggressive behavior. Both are best practiced in a
serene environment.
It
is primarily your aggressive behavior which leads to injuries internal and external.
Calm down by practicing pranayama (the breathing pose) and also Shavasana pose
which is a requisite must for performing Neti (not this, not this) the path and
doctrine advocated by Maharishi Ramana.
The practice of Neti (not this, not this) as advocated by Maharishi Ramana is
not necessarily relates to a desire for dialogue with God on one-to-one basis
but is an essential must for awakening of Kundalini and vice versa. All things
spiritual are interrelated... difficult to differentiate between various aspects
of Yoga.
One may
indulge in the right pranayama posture but may not practice celibacy. The other
may practice celibacy but refrain from doing breathing exercises and also the
practice of Neti (not this, not this). Either way... one would not proceed towards
the desired spiritual goal unless all are practiced in harmony.
Spirituality is a multifaceted path. For awakening of Kundalini energy which is
a requisite must for proceeding towards the stage of Nirvikalpa Samadhi... practice
of celibacy is 100% essential. We also simultaneously need gaining control of
our breathing by pranayama which results in gaining equipoise and control over
the senses and the mind.
During
injuries practice of your yogic exercises must altogether be avoided. It is rather
an absolute must. Gaining control over the breathing process in the Shavasana
pose would be a better alternative. In brief Shavasana pose (the dead pose) is
a requisite must for practice of Neti (not this, not this) and also pranayama.
