What is the fate of the Nehru clan! All dead ... most died an unnatural death. Death does not come all of a sudden .. It gets precipitated owing to our Karma. Rajiv Gandhi gave away his life owing to excesses committed in Sri Lanka. What more can your nation ask for. The vast majority of Indians were not agreeable with the way Rajiv Gandhi's government handled the situation. In spite of the theory of mass Karma common Indians cannot be blamed for what happened in Sri Lanka.

India has always been a peaceful country and always would be. No national leader can ever change the situation. India has never desired to be an international bully. Our economic condition is not bad ... still we do not dictate. 2008 is the year when India will become super power number one ... how Would it be the result of a day's working Indians have practiced patience for long and now the time has come to rise from slumber.

Full text of query: As much as I respect and love India, you calling USA a bully and India a land of truth and patience (Search for Truth- ITIHAAS) caught my attention. To become a bully, you have to be all powerful or at least more powerful than the entity being bullied. Currently, USA is the only super power in the world, thus, it has the power to influence outcomes in international conflicts. One may agree or disagree with various sides that USA may support in many international conflicts. Also, one may question why USA needs to be involved in any of these conflicts in the first place. However, the fact is, USA is involved, and it brings me back to your point may be it is a bully.

Now, let's take India, the land of truth and patience. During Indira Gandi's time it trained and supported a terrorist organization (LTTE) which was fighting democratically elected government of SriLanka. Later, in Rajiv G's time forced the Lankan govt. into a deal which the people and the government did not like (but had no choice), and deployed IPKF in Lanka. This is also bullying, India with its limitations, bullying another country much less powerful than her.

Although, current Indian govt. does not support LTTE, there are many covert operations in India which support LTTE, and bullying little Lanka. This leads me to think that only reason why India is not much of a bully in the international arena is due to its current economic position. However, I hope and pray, India will become a nation of truth and justice and vedic values, not a divided country of petty politics. SaiRam.
